Ines Jurak

Ines Jurak, the Deputy-Editor-in-chief of Recipe, was born in Zagreb in 1998. She graduated from the XVI Gymnasium in Zagreb in 2017. Despite her love for languages and social sciences, her curiosity about natural sciences prevailed so she decided that the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry in Zagreb was the right challenge for her. As a student used to learning languages and all the conjugations, irregular verbs and vocabulary that come with that task, adapting to her new surroundings was a difficult obstacle she managed to overcome in the end. During her elementary and high school education she gathered quite a lot of experience by participating in many school radio programmes and student publications. She speaks fluent English and French and has participated in various competitions in these languages, as well as in LiDraNo, a competition for young journalists in Croatia. Because of this she considers journalism one of her fondest hobbies and this was the driving force for her activity in Recipe. She spends her free time listening to music, spending time on social networks, oftentimes preferring to stay home in bed watching Netflix rather than going out.
